The Senate Appropriations Committee announced its schedule of hearings on Gov. Corbett's 2012 budget proposal between February 13 and 29.  The hearings will be Hearing Room 1, North Office Building.

* House Committee Holds Hearing On Water Well Standards Bill

The House Consumer Affairs Committee held a hearing Tuesday on House Bill 1855 (Miller-R-York) which requires the Environmental Quality Board to develop standards for the construction of individual drinking water wells.

* Increasing Solar Energy Mandates Subject Of House Committee Hearing

The House Consumer Affairs Committee Wednesday held a hearing on House Bill 1580 (Ross-R-Chester) which would increase the mandate for electric utilities to purchase solar-generated power from 2012 to 2015.
