* CBF, Partners Celebrate EPA Award For Conservation Improvements To PA Farms

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation this week celebrated receiving the 6th annual Performance and Innovation in the SRF Creating Environmental Success award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recognizing projects that set an example of innovative and sustainable water quality financing. 

* Senate Democrats Plan To Offer Marcellus Shale Impact Fee Amendment

Sen. John Yudichak (D-Luzerne) joined with Senate Democratic Leader Jay Costa (D-Allegheny) and Senators Andy Dinniman (D-Chester) and Tim Solobay (D-Washington) this week to announce their plan to offer an amendment to implement a fair and responsible severance fee on natural gas drilling.

Snyder's-Lance, Inc. this week announced the completion of the largest ground-based solar farm in Pennsylvania. Covering 26 acres and comprised of 15,092 solar panels, the 3.5 MW Solar Farm is located across from the corporate headquarters and manufacturing plant in Hanover, York County.

* EnergyWorks Program Launches Cool Campaign In Philadelphia Region

EnergyWorks, a program created by the Metropolitan Caucus and supported by the U.S. Department of Energy, launched a “cool” new public education campaign this week that is teaching homeowners in the Greater Philadelphia region that making energy-efficient improvements can keep their homes cool and their energy costs down as summer temperatures heat up.
